নতুন বাংলাদেশ, পুরনো বিএনপি

The sacrifice of students and the public during the July revolution gave us hope for a new Bangladesh. But the members of the biggest political party, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), are still operating in the old system where politics is synonymous with crime and violence. We have compiled the crimes committed by the members of BNP and its affiliated groups as reported by Prothom Alo since August 7, 2024. We have divided the crimes into three categories:

1. Financial & Verbal Violence (extortion, threats, illegal possessions, etc.)
2. Physical Violence (vandalism, battery, armed conflict, etc.)
3. Deaths

জুলাই বিপ্লবে ছাত্র-জনতার আত্মত্যাগ আমাদের একটি নতুন বাংলাদেশের স্বপ্ন দেখিয়েছে। কিন্তু সবথেকে বড় রাজনৈতিক দল বাংলাদেশ জাতীয়তাবাদী দলের (বিএনপি) সদস্যরা এখনো পুরোনো ধারায় রাজনীতি চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে - যেখানে রাজনীতি মানেই অপরাধ ও সহিংসতা। ৭ আগস্ট, ২০২৪ থেকে প্রথম আলোতে প্রকাশিত রিপোর্ট অনুসারে বিএনপি ও এর সহযোগী সংগঠনের সদস্যদের দ্বারা সংগঠিত অপরাধের তালিকা করেছি। অপরাধগুলো তিনটি বিভাগে ভাগ করেছি:

১. আর্থিক ও মৌখিক সহিংসতা (চাঁদাবাজি, হুমকি, অবৈধ দখল, ইত্যাদি)
২. শারীরিক সহিংসতা (ভাঙচুর, মারধর, সশস্ত্র সংঘর্ষ, ইত্যাদি)
৩. মৃত্যু
